Paddy or husked rice

Paddy rice is the grain of the cereal just after harvesting. It still retains its natural husk and all its nutritional properties. This product arrives from the field and is cleaned in order to separate possible impurities, such as twigs, dust or small stones.Once clean, it is used both for human consumption and animal feed. In the former case, paddy rice is milled and bleached to obtain white rice for human consumption and other byproducts for animal fodder. In the latter case, without undergoing any physical or chemical treatment, it is added to mixtures for birds, pigeons and other small pets. It is a highly valued source of energy, because, in view of the fact that it still has its husk, the animal can absorb the energy from the grain in a slowly controlled way.
